…….

This event was a resounding success! Many thanks to all who helped to organise and run the event and of course to all of those who attended. Over 80 participants took part and Jonathan Willcocks, who led the day has emailed us to say:

AF3-Basses and Sopranos #2

‘Just a quick email to say a huge thank you for making my visit to Ashbourne such a pleasure. Your group of singers were great to work with … and – all in all – it was a model of how such a Singing Day workshop should be organised and run.’

Other messages from the participants via email or social media included:

‘Yesterday was fabulous and you should be delighted and proud of the opportunity you provided for Ashbourne and the folk who came from near and surprisingly far to enjoy singing together.
AF6-Jonathan Willcocks #2Chameleon put on a brilliant show – the organisation and thought that had gone into the day was invisible as everything ran so smoothly. From the friendly greeting outside the church, the registration and name labels, not to mention the refreshments … everyone I spoke to was having a wonderful time.
It definitely deserves to be a regular part of every Ashbourne Festival.
Thanks and best wishes to you all and WELL DONE!’ (Ros)

‘Thanks to Sue Tansey and everyone else involved in organising the choral workshop today. It has been an absolutely fantastic day! And Jonathan Willcocks was an inspirational conductor.’ (Carolyn)AF8-Chris Hall and Altos and:

‘Four of us attended the free concert … and we certainly enjoyed it.
The choristers obviously worked very hard during the day to perform such wonderful music to the standard they achieved.  The Sing Africa pieces were very popular.  Congratulations to all concerned and well done!’ (Joan)
